17 Islamic Beliefs about Prophets of Allah

Belief 1: It is true that Allah sent prophets to mankind in the world.

Belief 2: It is also true that Allah sent His commandments to inform and educate His bondsmen through the prophets.

Belief 3: Many messengers and prophets came to guide His servants.

Belief 4: They are all innocent.

Belief 5: Allah gave them miracles which other people could not perform to prove their truth.

Belief 6: Their number is known to Allah alone.

Belief 7: The first of them is Adam and the last is Mohammed (pbuh) and the rest were in between.

Belief 9: Some messengers are higher in ranks than others. The highest in ranks is Mohammed.

Belief 10: Muhammad is the messenger of all those who will be born till the day of judgement among men and jinn.

Belief 11: Muhammad is the last of Allah’s prophets. No new prophet will be born after him.

Belief 12: The message brought by Prophet Muhammad is for the whole world. In this exceptional privilege and on some other points of preference, he excels all other prophets.

Belief 13: The faith of a person in Islam is not valid and complete unless he affirms faith in the Prophethood of Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him).

Belief 14: Allah took Prophet Muhammad while awake with his body from Mecca to Jerusalem (Baitul Muqaddas) and then to seven heavens and wherever Allah pleased and then brought him back to Mecca. This is called Ascension or Meraj.

Belief 15: The prophet’s wives and daughters are all highly respectable. Among Prophet Muhammad’s daughters the highest in rank is Fatima and among his wives the highest in ranks are Khadijah and Aisha.

Belief 16: Faith remains valid when you accept as true all the sayings of Allah and Prophet Muhammad. If someone doubts it, calls it a lie, find faults with it or jokes about it, then his faith is gone.

Belief 17: A Wali (saint), no matter how great he is, cannot reach the rank of a Prophet.
